On July 3rd, Hurricane Beryl caused significant damage to Jamaica, destroying homes and businesses and crippling much of the island’s agricultural sector. As a part of our mission, Friends of Jamaica is committed to assisting with the long-term recovery of Jamaica and its people, and we have launched this fundraiser so returned volunteers and their friends, families, and colleagues can support these efforts as well. Because the level of need is so great, Friends of Jamaica will match the first $2,000 raised, and 100% of all donations will be given to local, Jamaican lead community organizations already on the ground.
